Out with the old, in with the new.
QUEUE
What’s poppin,
Lotta new releases, 21 Savage long awaited drop. Lets get to it..
Track 1:
Jordy ft. Louis Rei - TOO MUCH
This year’s trend is fly shxt, & this track just oozes finesse, some might een say its.. Too Much. This seems to be a recurring theme but, UK artists just do NOT miss (we not beating the glazing allegations). The track is a masterclass. Iconic 2000’s bounce, Jordy’s effortless laid-back flow & Rei’s hook drippin with finesse. This is the sound of sophistication. We’ll leave you with a direct lyric “Knows I’m a dog but we all go to heaven”. Definite add to queue if you appreciate real poetry.
Video a must watch as well, a lot of on-screen talent.
Track 2:
21 Savage - redrum
Fresh out the oven, 21 Savage just released his long-awaited tape after a 4 year hiatus. And what better way to start it off than to go back to his British roots (R.I.P. Liz) for the video. Tracks got those hard-hitting drums & un-reformed lyrics alluding to committing various bodily injuries to ones opps, that we know & love. Classic 21 Savage. Will make an exquisite addition to your “Tea Time” playlist.
Music video is cool asf, very cinematic. A lot less like Downton Abby & a lot more like Top Boy. Safe to assume no crumpets were harmed in the making.
Track 3:
Rich Amiri - One Call
CALLING ALL RICK OWEN’S WEARERS!! Let’s get a little belligerent for this last track. If you don’t know this artist, what type of music you think you gon get from a man named Rich Amiri? Certainly not socio-economic commentary rap. Ya’ll ready know it’s boutta be reckless, and that’s why it deserves a platform. Rich Amiri gives us an opium-esque Future Hendrix vibe, and honestly, it doesn’t get more problematic than that. 2024 is all about growth and embracing every facet of yourself, even the wild, reckless parts. Add to queue for a jump start into that self-discovery.
Music video is essentially a promotional ad for the American Second Amendment. Fire.
Let us know if you messed with these & send some song suggestions our way, we’ll pick our favourite 3 & add em to the queue for next week’s edition & the community can decide who “Mr/Ms. Put us on” of the week is.
Stay Fly,
