The R&B Masterclass.
QUEUE
What’s poppin,
This week is an R&B masterclass, 3 different flavors, all bangers. Enjoy.
Track 1:
Bryson Tiller - Whatever She Wants
Pen Griffey, A.K.A Slum Tiller, A.K.A Mr. …. Don’t, is an artist who’s glory days many believed were over. But if you really tapped in or, are a TikTok addict, you’d know Tiller been droppin the craziest tracks exclusively on Soundcloud (He may have signed a 360). This joint stays true to Griffey’s formula, his unique ability to sing in a rap-infused cadence meshes flawlessly with the Detrioit-RnB beat, and the beat hits like prime time Mike Tyson (pre-narcotic addition). Glory days are far from over.
Definite add to queue.
Track 2:
Eb3n - Sing Something
Eb3n, a rising star out of Edmonton, just released a track that perfectly encapsulates the intricate emotions tied up in an “on again, off again” relationship. That moment of introspection after the 3rd break up, where you’re tryna work out where it all went wrong (again). The seamless harmony between the vocals and the melancholic instrumental creates a gripping atmosphere of real yearning. An add to queue if you were looking for a reason to rekindle a past relationship. 4th time may be the charm…
Track 3:
S.A.M - 9 to 5
2024 is our fly shxt era & this record might just be the theme song. S.A.M, another UK artist — is tryna revive one of the golden era’s of RnB, the 2000’s. He’s payin homage to the classics but infusing it with his own modern take. The result is a sonic experience that blends the nostalgia of that iconic era with the pulsating energy of the present. Now, we all know 9 to 5s in rap usually get the side-eye—risk-averse, low-motion, a little brokie vibe etc.. But S.A.M’s flippin the script & shoutin out our resident 9 to 5ers. This ones for you.
Add to queue, clock in and vibe out. ✊🏾
Let us know if you messed with these & send some song suggestions our way, we’ll pick our favourite 3 & add em to the queue for next week’s edition & the community can decide who “Mr/Ms. Put us on” of the week is.
Stay Fly,
Que
